State of the Mapa, 2013-2014

While I will be down Mexside updating my maps this season, I will not be personally offering them at the Old Town Farmer's Market due to my sudden lack of an address in PV as of the early summer's 5th housing disaster in three years...

The technology-intensive nature of my work, the difficulty of maintaining computer systems in a tropical climate, and tightening work-visa requirements and enforcement, were among the reasons I relocated the map factory, and my personal life, Stateside this summer.

The maps are all available by mail order in the US and Canada via my online gallery with PayPal, and in Puerto Vallarta my old friend Amaranta at El Sofa Cafe keeps some on hand and I hear has all of Vallarta framed as a set.

Anyone who is already in La Cruz de Huanacaxtle's Sunday market (they are taking nobody new this year due to overflowing interest): Talk to me. Someone could do very well being the one who had good Sayulita, La Cruz, Bucerias and Nuevo map prints to sell.

Conchas Chinas Map for Drivers

ZONA ROMANTICA TO CONCHAS CHINAS
This map has been quite popular this season so I ordered a print run on the same durable, water-resistant paper as the Puerto Vallarta Walking Map.
Available at the Old Town Farmers' Market (Basilio Badillo, a block up from Olas Altas, Saturday 9:30-2 pm.) and by mail order in the U.S. and Canada.

Puerto Vallarta Maps: The Last Pieces

PUERTO VALLARTA SOUTH COAST

Past Conchas Chinas, Highway 200 winds along the shore, concealing the quiet riverside village of El Nogalito. Puerto Vallarta's urban reach extends to just before Garza Blanca, where a new eco-development is rising with a footbridge crossing over the road.

Sayulita Map 2013 by Mapa Jeff

I printed a black and white version of this in 2010, but Sayulita has been changing so fast that by the time I had an edition out and had persuaded one local gallery owner to stock it, many of the businesses and local landmarks had either closed or moved or been washed away in the great floods of September 2011 - which took out the central road bridge through town, on Calle Revolucion at the Rio Sayulita.

Three years and several roadway updates later, here's Sayulita today:

And in 2008-9 (dated 2010):

La Cruz de Huanacaxtle Map

La Cruz was always charming, but the new marina really makes it a wonderful place to walk.

There are only about 5 copies of this in existence so far. If you'd like one, visit my online mail order gallery.
